Core: is ClassLoaderExtension used?

Hi, we have a ClassLoaderExtension, which basically is a mechanism to exchange the classForName implementation. Does this really make sense? Its there since 1.x... I would like to get rid of such code in 3.x, if it was never used. Best regards, Thomas
