Fix for remove surrounding code action...

2020-02-05 Thread Alessandro
Hi all,
I have opened a PR to fix the hardcoded colors in the Java editor "Remove
Surrounding Code" action (Alt + Backspace):
https://github.com/apache/netbeans/pull/1926

The PR is beneficial for dark LAFs (see PR page for before/after
screenshots).

Would it be possible to have it reviewed and included in NB 11.3 next beta?

Regards,
Alex

Re: Update centers based on mirrors are a nightmare to support in an enterprise environment

2020-02-05 Thread Laszlo Kishalmi
I think the best way would be mirror the update center from one specific
mirror (or might be even from the dist) internally in the corporation,
then set up that one as an update center.

You might wrote a very minimal plugin to set that UC up for everyone if
there are a lot of people involved.

That's an option, keeping in mind the limits here if there's a lot of
corporate use though - https://www.apache.org/dev/infra-ban.html

Otherwise maybe local mirroring?

A definitely constructive and appreciative +1! Looks great.

The vc suffix is meant to be just for builds being voted on (voting

NetBeans, it takes about 20 minutes, take a look here:

https://mirror.cyberbits.eu/fosdem/2020/UD2.119/fromoracleapache.webm

The short introduction to the history of NetBeans reminded me
that I started using NetBeans when it was still called "Forte for Java".

Which I actually found odd a the time, because DEC (Digital Equipment,
later acquired by Compaq)
also had a tool named Forté which was a distributed application server -
something completely different
