Thanks everyone. I’m traveling right now and don’t have the template for the
vote close email, but things look good. Will follow up shortly.

We'll definitely want to fix that funky directory maven creates after
building now but all the L, testing, sigs/hashes look good. Awesome
progress in this release!
Thanks

Ran through the release helper guide,
Built the RC1 source using Java 1.8.0_162
Ran the resulting binary on Java 10.0.1, with some sample flows
Looks good, thanks for the RM duties, Andy!

Verified hashes and signature.
Notice and license look good
Built okay on my Ubuntu 16.04 box. Had a few problems on my windows 10 box,
but believe them to be environment rather than a problem with the build
Ran a few test flows

Tested my traditional flows with and without MiNiFi. Ran through the
release guide. Looks great. Props to Andy for doing this while at a
conference at which he presented.

Went through the release helper guide
Tested secured/unsecured standalone, secured/unsecured clustered NiFi
deployments + NiFi Registry
Tested some new features of this release: XML reader/writer, Hadoop/Hive 3,
monitoring RTs, cloud stuff.
All looks good!
Thanks Andy for taking care
+1 (binding)
Verified things in release helper guide.
Tested that a NiFi flow created in old version can be used with 1.7.0.
There are some component properties those have been renamed.
I listed such properties that I'm aware of, on the Migration Guidance page.
+1 non-binding
Went through the guide without any problems. Ran some simple flows with no
issues.
After the first build I did see a Maven-generated directory called
something like "${project.parent.directory}" in the source root. I deleted
the entire thing, unzipped the source release again,

Verified everything in release helper and ran some test flows, thanks
for RM'ing!

I did:
* Checked the sums and they matched
* mvn clean install -Pcontrib-check,include-grpc
* Run the built assembly in Windows 10 x64 and CentOS 7 x64
* Tested some data flows that used AWS bundle and Hadoop bundle. Everything
was a success.
One weird thing I noticed was, when
+1 (binding)
Verified all artifacts, full build with contrib-check, verified the
Hive 3 NAR is not in the assembly unless the include-hive3 profile is
activated, also ran through various flows to exercise Hive 3 and
PutORC functionality (and their associated Record Readers, Writers,
and
+1 binding. Everything seemed to match when I checked the sums, looked at
the legal documentation and I tried a deliberately cumbersome Mongo-based
flow and it worked just fine for me. Didn't try enabling security.
