I believe you need to upgrade this external zookeeper as well. 3.5.5 or
newer is ideal.

Hi Kfir,
I didn't try with ZooKeeper 3.5.6 but it worked fine with 3.5.5 (version
used as dep. in NiFi code).
I did experience the same with ZooKeeper 3.4.x.
Could you try with ZK 3.5.5?
