buckets. I was told that it have been fixed in 1.1 master.

Hey Ricky,
When you enable debug logging for SSL, it writes to StdErr (or StdOut?) so it
will end up in your logs/nifi-bootstrap.log instead of nifi-app.log.
Can you give that a look?
