I like your proposal :)
The only thing left not covered: I believe Whiteboard should be reusable
wicket component :))

That would be great!

@Alexei this definitely can be done in realtime, BUT ... :)
The setting affects Working microphone so it is impossible to ON/OFF it
while speaking :(
The only option I can see is to add dropdown control to testSetupDialog
(the one with choose camera and test recording). So we can have something

We tested AEC out-of-the-box. We just installed and ran a meeting in OM2.1-
Litle or no echo. We then, using the exact same configuration, logged in to an
OM2.0 server and ran a meeting. We experienced substantial echo. We were both

Joseph, which devices show improvement? Which buffer length did you use?
I like the suggestion - Maxim, how is it possible to configure AEC in
realtime?

For some reson we get the following error, when after the screen share app

Is anyone getting the same error. How do we resolve this.
Thanks

We have a test OM2.1 server installed at AWS running Unbuntu 12.04.
We tested AEC this morning for the first time and it did seem to make the audio
work very well. Little if no echo. We still need to test under a wide range
of scenarios, but we are encouraged by the performance this morning.
Tony, as I have said, the requirements are not as important as the
fact we have the server running. For those who feel that bandwidth is
not enough or is not reliable enough there is always an option to
switch to other test servers (or install their own server). We may add
a warning message at the

Tony, I'm sorry. This was discussed for sure. Things sometimes change over
time, that's why I have asked once again.
We have have several test servers and chat channels hosted around. My
intention was to have more
development resources hosted @apache and branded by apache.

The only advantage I can see in separating Admin is: we can "force" users
to use HTML5 version.
I hope in upcoming 3.0.0 we can do this without separation, since only few
areas are currently left unimplemented

This is currently sounds like "unrealistic" "too far in the future" plan :)
Additionally it is introduces more "hard to implement" tasks:
1) we need global chat (current functionality) not sure how this can be
implemented.
2) we need p
Good. I don't see any disadvantages of separating admin. Let's start
with listing these disadvantages.

Why? Well, strategically we should embed a small jabber server into
openmeetings. As a separate module. Chat messa
Hello Alexei,
It is possible to create different wicket app for admin, but I see no
reasons for it.
In my opinion there will be less advantages than disadvantages after such
separation.

There are no answers. My point here is that we can be 100% sure that
today AEC does not work as expected, and provides distinctive and high
quality echo in 100% of situations when users use separate dynamic and
microphone systems.
The new thing is AEC mechanism sometimes meddles with hardware echo
Hello folks,
I have recently participated in discussions on openmeetings management
interface. Open of possible options we have discussed was having admin
module separated from the code base. Modularity helps debugging things
and shipping releases. Also being modular helps others to re-use our
