Hi all
My findings are exactly the same as those from Francis. Copying the contents to
a new spreadsheet saves in XML 2003 without any issues. It is this specific ODS
file that has a problem.
Curiously, the file saved as XML 2003 will not open correctly in OpenOffice...

Hi Matthias,
I get a "Write error: file could not be written" when I try the file from
the forum post saved as Microsoft Excel 2003 XML. However, I can't
reproduce the error if I copy the file contents into a new file. I also
tried reducing the original file to just the numbers 1,2,3,4 in A1:A4

On Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with AOO 4.1.9 and a simple Calc file I have no
problem saving as MS
I do not get a crash saving in the "Microsoft Excel 2003 XML (.xml)"
format using AOO 4.1.9 on Windows 10. I tested with a very simple file
containing only a few numbers.

Hi Everyone,
What happens if you 'save as' any basic calc file as "Microsoft Excel 2003 XML
(.xml)" when using AOO in Windows. Does it crash?
Are the XML filters not installed by default? If not, they should be.
