Hi, It's actually ready - I think - I took the Release notes and used that to generate a really shot piece. I could not get the final render finished before I needed to leave this morning however. If I can I'll push up tonight, but likely it will be tomorrow and I must warn you it is not the same old OO.o look - so I won't be hurt in the least if folks want some changes made ;) //drew On Fri, Sep 27, 2013 at 11:03 AM, Roberto Galoppini roberto.galopp...@gmail.com wrote: 2013/9/27 Drew Jensen drewjensen.in...@gmail.com Howdy, Thanks - maybe someone will. Folks are quite busy with real work and I won't trouble them with this type stuff at the moment. I will push two things up over the weekend and then on Monday or Tuesday will drop the rest. (Set of Flyers w/template - video theme with templates) Since no one seems to mind I'm sticking with the following theme: AOO-Teal3 (that is the logo color ;) Grey 6 - text Red 6 - text Yellow 3 - highlight text I'm also focused totally on Retail marketing and discounting commercial use of the application, so in everything I'll try to hit things like - building urgency and driving folks to download. I will also try to emphasize the forums and template/extension services more, as best I can. Look forward to it, please let me know when you want me to upload the new video on Apache OpenOffice project page at SourceForge. I did so for only one reason, I did not want to introduce the new graphics on these two pieces and encourage their use as branding items and the license would allow any use, including commercial, but you can not 'riff' off that image or any pieces of it.. Now, it doesn't make sense to others here I would not be surprised and have no problem removing it. Just let me know. Otherwise, I'll be on-line tomorrow again and will update the other files then along with some more thoughts on the branding language I'm trying to establish...which I don't want to do without consent here. Re: Where can I find the new AOO4-Logo as a vector format?
Hello Rob, From: Rob Weir [mailto:robw...@apache.org] Hi Jörg , could you say some more about what you want to do with the logo, so we can make sure we get you what you need? Is this for the PrOOoBox? There are several reasons: First, yes it is for the PrOOo box, for a new Cover. Second, I want to print some 3D-stickers to give it away. (e.g. on our AOO Stammtisch [1] or as a give-away to some friends and acquaintances) Greetings, Jörg [1] See: http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/DE-AOO/Stammtische I do not know what Stammtisch in english is called. In Germany, Stammtisch is the term for a specific table in a restaurant or for a meeting of insiders on a specific topic. The latter meaning is intended here. See wikipedia (sorry, german): http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stammtisch - To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@openoffice.apache.org

Hello Misha, As a non-profit organization Apache does not place traditional advertisements on our websites for 3rd parties. But we do try to encourage an ecosystem on 3rd products and services related to OpenOffice. So currently we're happy to list 3rd party items like: -- Unofficial ports and distributions of OpenOffice: http://www.openoffice.org/porting/ -- Books about OpenOffice: http://www.openoffice.org/support/books.html -- Listing of consultants who offer services related to OpenOffice: http://www.openoffice.org/bizdev/consultants.html I don't think we've had any 3rd party library like LibOpenOffice, so we'll need to think about where the best place to list it would be. Also, we're always interested in good stories for our blog about how people use OpenOffice to solve real problems. So it might be possible to give more prominence to your library in a blog post like that. But we'd want to focus it on how you used OpenOffice, what problem you were solving, what approach you used, what you learned about OpenOffice in process, things like that. Important change to 4.0.1 Release Notes -- may impact translations
I just noticed that the release notes did not have a link to the download page. You might think that the typical path is: 1) user visits ww.openoffice.org 2) user clicks download link 3) from download page user clicks on release notes But there are also other common paths, including 3rd party articles and blogs, tweets, that link directly to the release notes, and might not even mention the download page. So I've added two links to the download page in the first paragraph of the release notes. If you have started a translation please try to include something similar. Re: bug 107063 (needs update)
What exactly are you looking for? We don't have any user with ID that matches that regular expression, e.g., a line starting with ooo followed immediately by a line end. I was trying to use ^ as a beginning of a string and $ as the end of a string. To tell BZ that I just want ooo and nothing else like os_ooo. A simpler way to describe this query might be to do an advanced query of: Assignee: (contains none of the strings) openoffice, ooo, issues, AOO security list, secur...@openoffice.apache.org The problem here is that os_ooo, mst.ooo and wuyan.ooorg are also excluded but I only want to exclude ooo (besides the other like openoffice...). It depends on the field type. But in most cases, such as with the assignee field, it is a string comparison. So why does it not work when I just use ooo as the value? I also tried using ooo and 'ooo' but that did not work either. Is there a special way to tell BZ that ooo is a string, that I might have missed? thx On 27.09.2013 at 4:29 PM, Rob Weir robw...@apache.org wrote: On Fri, Sep 27, 2013 at 9:39 AM, bugreporte...@hushmail.com wrote: I'd use the Search by People section. [1] Can you please tell me why the assignee of the issue https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=20525 was not reset? Cause when looking at the History there is nothing after 2004- 06- 17 15:00:01 UTC (besides a comment on 2007-05-03 12:24:50 UTC ). I used the time since assignee touched field. It looks like in this case the assignee changed his email address. I don't know if that impacted the query strategy. But you can find all the issues that I did reset by searching for the comment string Reset assignee on issues not touched by assignee in more than 2000 days. Can you please tell me how to find bugs of a certain assignee? I want to get all bugs listed which are from the assignee ooo . When (in the Advanced Search) I select Assignee in Custom Search and choose is equal to and then set the value to ooo it does not work. Using is equal to any of the strings instead of is equal to does not work as well - ? I'd use the Search by People section. The first of the three groups there is already set up to search for assignee. One of the search options is for contains, so you can then just enter ooo. Trying to use regular expression and typing ^ooo$ does also not work. (^ooo works but then I get also things like ooo*) If you use the advanced search options then you need to select matches regular expression rather than is equal to. We all know who is active and who isn't. Did not know that. Notifications are all-or-nothing. A BZ admin can disable all notifications, run a batch operation, and then re-enable notifications. But we have no easy way to notify only assignees. What would happen if you leave the notification enabled and then reset all the assignee fields? It would not be pretty. It would trigger notifications to be emailed to the old assignee, but also everyone that commented on the issue previously, or added themselves to cc. So a rough guess, for N old issues you would generate 4x email notifications. Doing this for a handful, 10 or 20 issues is fine. But not for thousands. If you do this you will end up owing Scotch to Apache Infra admins for the extra work they have to do to clean up the mess ;-) Regards, -Rob thx
