If you are speaking about today, indeed the wiki had issues most of the
day (often they are proxy issues, but it can also be a VM needing
restart). If you open http://status.apache.org/pubsub/manage.cgi and
expand "OpenOffice Wiki" you will see it.

VM was restarted (not by me; by Infra) about 4 hours ago. And I've now
also restarted the svn2bz bot which hadn't started on reboot.

As for previous days, everything looks correct for the several last days.

Regards,
  Andrea.

Interesting Developments for Windows-targetted software

2016-03-30 Thread Dennis E. Hamilton
.

Along with the ability to run native Linux later before the endo of the year,
and improvements in access to the Windows Store for Win32 applications, there
is the additional feature of Microsoft Visual Studio to support a version of
the VC++ with a Clang-compatible front end. Same error messages, same
preprocessing, but the compiling engine is still VC++.

None of this is helpful to Apache OpenOffice just yet, but the prospect of
getting out from under CygWin on Windows is definitely something to look
forward to, along with the highly-improved file-system integration that will
come with GNU/Windows as some are beginning to call this.

Re: Issues need 4.2.0 as Target Milestone

2016-03-30 Thread Marcus
Target milestones depend on the product in BZ. There is no 4.2.0 target
right now (except for "gsl"). Targets have to be created manually for
every product. I'll do this tomorrow as it's already late here.

But now there is a new flag "4.2.0_release_blocker" which can maybe help
in the meantime.

BTW:
You were just a few seconds faster with your mail than me. ;-)

Re: New Volunteer

2016-03-30 Thread Chelsey Foster
Hi Damjan,

I would like to get a good feel for the program itself first. I was
thinking of familiarizing myself with the software by looking through bug
reports and/or user suggestions and trying to identify the issue for myself
and report any additional bugs I find along the way (if I in fact find
any). Do you think that is a good plan?

Best,

Chelsey

https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125364
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125365

The fixes pertain to configure.in which has been replaced by
configure.ac. TSince we've made a number of changes to
configure.ac since these were submitted, the patches
probably can not be directly applied.

We don't formally distribute a Solaris build any more, but
we do have an active port of Apache OpenOffice on Solaris

see: http://www.openoffice.org/porting/index.html

It would be great if we could get some gcc on Solaris
builders to test these patches.

@Nicolas:
AFAIK your company (Adfinis SyGroup AG) is managing the ports for
Solaris Sparc and x86. Is it possbile to get help from you for this case?

Thanks in advance

Re: Issues need 4.2.0 as Target Milestone

2016-03-30 Thread Kay Schenk
Hi --

Well a few days ago, I changed a bunch of RESOLVED-FIXED to
4.2.0 milestone so I just assumed it was available for all
issues:

https://bz.apache.org/ooo/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced=---_milestone=4.2.0

So confusing to say the least.

Anyway, thank you.

English Dictionaries updated - 2016-03-30

2016-03-30 Thread Marco A.G.Pinto
Hello!

I have updated the English Dictionaries:
http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/english-dictionaries-apache-openoffice

You can either download it from the link above or wait a few days before
AOO triggers it.

Changes:
Updated the Dictionaries:
- Australian (2016-03-14)*
- British (Marco A.G.Pinto)**
- South African (Dwayne Bailey) (2012-07-10)
   * Australian had all UTF-8 corrupt words fixed by Marco.
** British has 819 new words and attempted to make compatible with the
command line using the UTF-8 apostrophe.

Thanks!

Kind regards,
