Re: [RELEASE]: propose AOO 4.1.0 RC - Showstoppers?
Hi, we have a potential showstopper Issue 124607 - .odt with (Page-No) field in header/footer and comment for text range fails to open with Read Error. The defect is easy to reproduce in AOO 4.1.0 Beta: - new text document - insert a field - e.g. page number field - type some text - insert an annotation (aka comment) on an arbitrary text selection - save - close - reopen -- Read Error message Defect is triggered, if a text document contains at least one field beside an annotation/comment on a text range. Fix in progress A fix is now available on trunk. Best regards, Oliver. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@openoffice.apache.org
Re: [VOTE]: Release Apache OpenOffice 4.1.0 (RC)
This is my official (non-binding) -1 vote for a release build based on r1583666 --Justification-- Since the r1583666 based spin, several substantial issues have been corrected on trunk only r1583671 -- affects apparent quality of the IAccessible2 based AT tools support (i125573) r1583988/r1585171 -- affecting users on OS X (i124509) r1585173 -- i18 support for nds-DE local r1585261 -- serious ODF formatting issues with annotations (i124607) Strongly beleive that these and several rejected show stoppers (can fix later on trunk) necessitate a respin of an RC2, and merit rejection of the r1583666 based RC1 build. Sounds like a good idea, to summarize key discussions, and news, for the rest of us who can't track all the forum posts. Weekly? Monthly? I don't know. Maybe something in the middle, like every two weeks? It depends on the pace of interesting things on the lists, forums, news, etc. One easy way to do this would be to have a wiki page called AOO Weekly News (or something like that). Anyone in the community can add something there. Then each week (or month or whatever) at an agreed-upon time, we cut and past the wiki content into a blog post and press post. The one thing to test is whether text formatting and hyperlinks are preserved when copying and pasting from wiki to blog. But if that does work, this could be an easy solution. -Rob I like this idea. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@openoffice.apache.org -- - MzK Cats do not have to be shown how to have a good time, for they are unfailing ingenious in that respect. -- James Mason - To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@openoffice.apache.org

Why are there no official BitTorrent downloads for the latest Apache OpenOffice releases?
