Re: Formatted text when pasting into formula box
On 04/05/2014 Shari Lynn Smith wrote: I format my spreadsheet and then when pasting I either F2 and paste or click and paste into the formula box. This has always pasted plain text so it matched the formatting of my spreadsheet. With 4.1 it's not working that way, it's pasting the text in the format that it came from. Yes I know I can Ctrl-Shift-V but that is extra steps.. I'm reviewing some reported bugs, but I cannot reproduce this one. It works as it has always worked recently. So: 1) Copy formatted text from a web page (something including bold, links...) 2) Select a cell and press CTRL-V (this is NOT what you are doing) - indeed the output is formatted 3) Open, not simply select, another cell (i.e., double click on it, cursor flashes within the cell; or alternatively press F2, or use the formula toolbar, i.e., what you are doing) - the copied text is stripped of any formatting. So it works as usual for me. Regards, Andrea. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@openoffice.apache.org

All of them probably have too a narrow scope to be suitable for Summer of Code, but they could be nice projects for those who want to start, provided we identify knowledgeable mentors who can give some guidance to new volunteers. OpenOffice is surely big enough for you to find something to start with. What operating system(s) do you use? Building OpenOffice from source code is the first step. You can find more detailed information at https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/Building_Guide_AOO and general information on how to help with development at http://openoffice.apache.org/orientation/ Please keep us posted on your progress and feel free to ask any questions about building. Very possible problem
Hi, within the last two or three weeks I experienced an issue within the Writer component: When selecting a table within Writer that has been copied from an HTML source and the document has been stored in ODF format before (reloasded document) then the application exits with an error message. Unfortunately I cannot provide an example document because the one I have is somehow confidential. Maybe this is something Oliver-Rainer could take a look at...please... Then, I used Tortoise to create a checkout and I was able to make it work after several attempts. How do I make people report bugs/suggestions? I would think using this dev list would be fine for feedback. The github location is for testing as I understand it, and these dictionaries will eventually be moved into the normal extension repository, correct? Also, I am only improving the en_GB... en_US and en_CA are improved by Kevin Atkinson with whom I am in contact... but people can report in my GitHub and I will inform Kevin in his repository. Please notice the en_GB_speller_for_Mozilla+AOO+LO_2013+.txt where I keep all the changes. PS-JZA, I am terribly sorry for being a lazy ass... I know you have told me to do this months ago and it was extremely easy, just like you said :-X Thanks for your help! Every month I release an update for Mozilla. For OpenOffice it will take longer because there are 10 000s of people downloading. The idea was that also other projects could go to the GitHub and take the .AFF and .DIC and use them in projects which use spell checking. I always keep a note of the most recent version for Mozilla and AOO on the official site of Proofing Tool GUI: http://marcoagpinto.cidadevirtual.pt/proofingtoolgui.html As you can see there, the Mozilla version is 2.12 and the AOO is 2.09. This happens because I was told to wait a few weeks after the release of AOO 4.1 before making an update. I will release V2.13 for both Mozilla and AOO in the first week of June. I will also add there the most recent versions of en_US and en_CA by Kevin Atkinson, releasing first a beta extension for people to try and one week later release an official one :-P I hope this explains it. Thanks for your time! Kind regards from your friend, Marco A.G.Pinto --- --
