Re: Proposed Calc "Find & Replace" dialog enhancements

That's important as a matter of governance. The Forum threads are not fully
part of the governance and accountability structure of the project.

The discussion is brought to the Forum as an initial, open, free,
discussion, to gather feedback from users. Decision-making is done on
lists but here we are in a "discovery" phase where we simply ask people
for feedback, and the right channels for this are the blog and the
forum, places where we reach our end-users.

Then, in a normal workflow, a proposal should be brought to the dev list
to verify consensus, and issues opened on Bugzilla to track development.

That said, I for one value end result more than the process, so I won't
insist on where we should take the various steps; but it's sad to see
that nothing gets ever posted to the blog, even though we would have
materials for posts.

  Andrea.

Dolores;

You may get an answer to this inquiry faster from the QA mailing list.
Although many of the QA folks do subscribe to this list, the QA list is
meant for communication of this nature. You can send your inquiry to the
list at this mail address: q...@openoffice.apache.org. If you plan to do a
lot of QA work then you should subscribe to that list if you have not
already.

Keith

Dolores;
Gaining access to our CWiki is a two (2) step process. The first step is
that you must go to the following link and create your account,
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OOOUSERS/Wiki+Home. Then
send a message to this list with the username that you created and we
will white-list it for you.

[CWiki] Account Whitelisting

2015-11-20 Thread Dolores Zurdo Consuegra

My real name is: Dolores Zurdo Consuegra

Should i change the status of a bug if i really think it is a bug

2015-11-20 Thread Dolores Zurdo Consuegra
Hello,

I'm Dolores, i started to collaborate with Apache around 2 weeks ago. And i
would like to ask about when should i change the status of a bug.

For the moment, i try with very easy bugs from Apache OpenOffice (AOO)
Bugzilla – Issue List, with status: "Unconfirmed". Then i try to reproduce
the bug, if i think it is a bug, i try to find if it is duplicated in the
data base, if no, i change the status...

But the last bug i found it (Issue 126609
), i think it was
duplicated from *Issue 125894
*
In this last bug, we can see different users for example:

   - oyekani...@yahoo.com
   - Prakrut Bhatt

They say that they could replicate the bug, but it is still like
unconfirmed.

So my question is:
Should the status of this bug be as confirmed or I'm changing the bug's
status too fast?

I'm asking this because i don't want to start to declarer bug too fast, in
case i'm doing it wrong. If it is so, please tell me, so i could review and
change all the things that i have done so far. :-)

Thank you very much,
