OpenOfffice does not work with HP 8035 printer

2021-03-02 Thread red

Dev,

Title says it all.  HP tech support says all of their stuff is okay,
drivers, spoolers, settings, et c.

Many other programs do print on the new printer, but not OpenOffice.

There are maybe a dozen puzzled users out there with this same problem.
I do see the OO program sending the file to the printer, with a progress
bar.  The file is in the printer queue for a few seconds, then it is not
in the printer queue.  No printing happens.

HP-8035e Office Jet printer (new).
I updated Java.  No help.
I downloaded the new release of OO (V. 4.1.9).  No help.
Your help would be welcome, here.  Thanks.

Cheers,
Red

I don't know how to edit this. I don't find any hint for it - even as
admin. Must be a thing of SF.net.

No problem, I only thought about giving you administrative rights.

Thanks, I did not find any possibility to change it.

It seems to be a generated RSS feed that stopped working years ago...

I have an old one but not associated to OpenOffice
In any case I wrote to support and they answered that they are investigating
the issue. It has been a week since they answered. I will give them a few more
days before asking for progress.

Thanks!

My concern is not really with SourceForge, I simply would like to have
AOO offered through ASF mirrors like every other ASF project.

I had a quick discussion with Infra and submitted a minor Mira issue for them
to evaluate the current situation.

They could. There is also a variant of the mirror selection script.

But it’s work on all our parts. Things are fine now.

If SourceForge were to disappear then we have multiple disasters including the
mirrors.

Yes, but if I remember the discussion right, Infra could now offer AOO
at least on selected mirrors.

2021-03-02 Thread Matthias Seidel
Hi all.

What do you think about it?

Although it seems that only the source archives need to be served from
the mirrors I would not be unhappy if the ASF would serve AOO from their
mirror system as well.

   Matthias
