Re: docx2odt converters

Hello Guy,

I can't tell from this what the issue is.  Is it docx format and what
happens when opened in AOO?

Best regards,
Carl

Hello all,

I received a mail from a user having difficulties importing MS Word
documents to AOO. Here is the text of the message :
"I am having a problem displaying a C/D (that is formatted in Word) , but I
have Apache Open Office installed on my Win.10 system. I would like to
avoid having to go through Google & I would like a free program".
As I never import MS documents in AOO, I have no experience with such a
problem. I'd like to know if somebody has an experience with the docx2odt
converters available on the web.

Many thanks for your help.

Apparently we needed another fix...

I am doing a Test Build for Windows right now and will upload it to my
Apache home directory tomorrow.

MSO is able to import(!) ODF (limited) since MSO2003 with an additional
app provided by [SUN|MS]. Since MSO 2007 it is able to do it out of the
box (still limited) but enough for normal use cases. The support of ODF
is getting better with each version.

I guess the user talks about MSO2003 (the kast one with "classic" UI)
without having that extension (or converter, OI cannot remember how they
called it) installed!

Best,

Dennis

MS-Office (since 2016) can save as ODF.

also here?

If yes, then we should start the process.

2021-09-16 Thread Matthias Seidel
Hi all,

I just did a full build of AOO41X for Windows. Everything fine!

IMHO this could be the base for AOO 4.1.11-RC1?

(This is #55779ad04e)
