Please add to to-do list, May be an error in newest release.
When coping an entire paragraph, I am losing the bold words are no longer bold - at least at the beginning of the paragraph. This may be an error in the new release. This brings up another question, does the Q-A team have a list of cases it needs to test to make sure that no fixed has been lost? It should have. It sometimes happens that changes to common code fixes one problem and (re)generates another. Some calls to the common code may need to start calling a different subroutine. Howard
Minor issue on to-do list
I have moved the taskbar location to the left side of my windows screen. Open Office Writer handles this just fine (immediately). Open Office Help does not and generates a screen too wide. Yes I know, I can adjust the screen size manually once and it is fixed, that is why the issue is so minor. I seem to keep finding minor issues, but if I don't report them, who will know? Howard
Minor dictionary error.
When someone has time, please add the word 'matchup' (as in matchup between two teams) to the dictionary. I live in Cordova, TN and the dictionary doesn't like Cordova. I checked Google, and we are not the only one. However, since I can always add it to the local dictionary, that is too minor to worry about. Howard Morris
Open Office and Word Starter 2010.
Hi, Again I am not sure how to report a bug. I just created a document with Open Office Writer. I tried to open it with Word Starter 2010 because the Mathematics looks better there (and Starter does not let you create Math forms - it let's you edit them - crazy). I get a message that the file seems corrupted. I do not know if this is an Open Office or Word Problem. Howard Morris
Bug
Hi gang, I do not know how to report bugs yet, but I just found one in the new version of Open Office Writer. I did a select all, and it only selected a table and ignored the rest of the document. For to create my problem, you may need to put the table at the top of the document followed by a few normal paragraphs. Howard Morris
Re: wps-files
For .wps (Windows' Works) files, go to http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=12 to download the converter. You may have to open them in Word or Word Starter, then save them in either .docx or .odt format. I tried this on some of my old files I seemed to have last a bit, but I think it is because I no longer have Math text support.
