It is surely possible if you rebuild OpenOffice from the source code and
you add your font there. To this aim, you can scan our old release notes
for when fonts were replaced or added and look at the relevant code: sorry
I can't find a more precise pointer now, but the starting point would be
 https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OOOUSERS/Releases

Your font license may affect the license of the whole package you
distribute; this issue is not for discussing on the dev list.

There might be ways to bundle your font in an easier way (extension?) but
I have never tried that and I am not sure that it is supported.

   Andrea.

Because user want an independent manual(or guide book). Like this
 https://www.openoffice.org/support/books.html

But those books in amazon are 1,not translated 2,may be licensed 3.not
editable (we did some hack, and we need to explain what is different from
original openoffice) , 4. not correspond to newest version of OpenOffice.

So I think it is probably good to just convert help contents to an
 editable
document. Or is there any easiest way else to do this work?

Thank you very much and best regards.

If you accept to work under Creative Common Attribution 3.0 license
(CC-BY) [http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/], then you can start
with those tutorials provided by ODF Authors [http://www.odfauthors.org/]

The latest version for OOo is on
 https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/OOo3_User_Guides/OOo3.3_Chapters_ODT.
 But that is without sidebar.

You should look at the versions for LibreOffice too. [
 http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/documentation/] There are differences
to Apache OpenOffice and you will need to adjust it, but it might be faster
 than starting from scratch.

If you will provide one book, then Getting Started will be suitable.

Which is the target language? Perhaps there exists already some
translations. Have a look at http://www.libreoffice.org/community/nlc/

 Kind regards

 Hi,

You can do it, but it makes no sense.

The help files are written in XML, file name extension is xhp. You find
these files in the *.jar archives in the folder help in an installed AOO.
For the in-build help viewer they are transformed to HTML by the
transformation main_transform.xsl and styled by default.css. You can
look at the result of this, when you call the help, e.g. via F1, and choose
HTML source from the context menu.

The help is not organized as a lot of independent files, but it is more
like a building set. Some parts are embedded in several pages, some parts
are only shown under special conditions, some parts are not shown directly
in the help, but only as tooltip. Contents and Index are no special files,
 but generated.

The help is context sensitive. If you are working on a special function in
Calc, calling the help will show the information about this special
 function, for example.

For all these reasons, it makes no sense to collect all these files into
 one document.

My question is, why do you want such document?

 Kind regards
 Regina

As you appear to be using Windows as your operating system just install

JAVA_HOME is a very particular environment variable that needs to be set

There are many explanations of this you can research.

This said, I do see this page:

Honestly, without seeing the actual structure of this area, I couldn't

What is the information in your config.log starting with checking for
 ant?

Here you should see some lines for --
 found your ant home
result: should be the same as ant home

You've already sent the last line
checking if your ant home works

My directory setup for ant seems kind of different from yours.
My setup for 1.9.2 is more like some directory/ant directory/bin/ant

for my executable without the intervening libexec

Let us know about the messages and we'll investigate further.

Question about tb-lr text direction support in OO

2015-01-23 Thread aronsoyol
Hi
I want to have tb-lr text direction supported in OpenOffice, I've found
that it is possible to write tb-lr text in the document and the
Frame(MenuInsertFrame), I just did a little hack to add tb-lr direction
entry to the “Page” and “Frame”'s setting dialog, as well as fixed
Frame's arrow key map function, like this
https://www.dropbox.com/s/2vi6opaj2xb8v0n/Frame_setting_dialog.png?dl=0.
But I do not know how to add a “Vertical left to right Text” button
into “Drawing”
toolbar
https://www.dropbox.com/s/2tu9nejrncgtflh/drawing_tool_bar.png?dl=0. I
extract an odt file which contains a textbox, then open “content.xml” and
change the writing-mode style of the textbox to “tb-lr”, then reopen it.
But it can not show as tb-lr direction. Is there any code to filter out the
“tb-lr” style or the the textbox can't handle tb-lr text at all?
Could any one help me?
Best regards.

Question about partial build with debug

2015-01-20 Thread aronsoyol
Hi all

Hi I want to partial build a debuggable dll for sw module

First, I did a entire build on Windows with configure switches:

./configure \
--with-cl-home=/cygdrive/c/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Visual Studio
9.0/VC \
--with-midl-path=/cygdrive/c/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft
SDKs/Windows/v7.0A/Bin \
--with-frame-home=/cygdrive/c/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft
SDKs/Windows/v7.0A \
--with-asm-home=/cygdrive/c/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Visual Studio
9.0/VC/Bin \
--with-csc-path=/cygdrive/c/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v3.5 \
--with-ant-home=/cygdrive/E/lo/apache-ant-1.9.4 \
--with-jdk-home=/cygdrive/E/lo/jdk1.7.0_71 \
--with-nsis-path=/cygdrive/c/Program Files (x86)/NSIS \
--without-junit \
--disable-directx \
--disable-atl \
--disable-activex \
--disable-nss-module \
--enable-category-b

Then I did

cd instsetoo_native
build --from sw --prepare
build debug=t --html --from sw

And copied new sw.dll into install directory then attached visual studio,
but vs could not stopped at any break point.
I don' t know where was wrong and how should I do.

Best regards.

Re: Question about partial build with debug

2015-01-20 Thread aronsoyol

You probably need to build an .exe that uses that DLL. You need something
that will call entry points in the DLL so you can debug into them. Do you
 already have something for that?

Are you saying soffice.exe or soffice.bin, I attached VS to soffice.bin, Do
you mean that I should rebuild soffice.exe or soffice.bin with debug=true

You will need to somehow tie that to the sourcecode of the DLL and
whatever debug information was provided when the files that create the .obj
 files it contains were compiled.

You might be able to figure that out by finding the makefiles and such
that get you just sw.dll in the generated build structure.

You are right, you need to attach the debugger to soffice.bin, not
soffice.exe, and there is no need to build them with debugging symbols,
just the modules you want to debug (in case you want to debug them, they
 are built on main/desktop).

About ant

2014-08-04 Thread aronsoyol

Hi there.

This is my first time to build OOo. When I run the command

$
./configure--with-ant-home=/cygdrive/c/ant--with-dmake-url=http://dmake.apache-extras.org.codespot.com/files/dmake-4.12.tar.bz2--with-epm-url=http://www.msweet.org/files/project2/epm-3.7-source.tar.gz--enable-pch--disable-atl--disable-activex--disable-binfilter--without-junit

I got the error likes below:

checking for jakarta-ant... no

checking for ant... /cygdrive/c/ant/bin/ant

checking if /cygdrive/c/ant/bin/ant works... configure: WARNING: Ant
does not work - Some Java projects will not build!

checking whether ant is = 1.6.0... ./configure: line 22555: test:

configure: error: no, you need at least ant = 1.6.0

Actually I have installed Ant already and got the following version message

XXX@new-black /cygdrive/c/aoo/aoo-trunk/main

$ ant -version

I reffered this page

My system is

win7 64bit,Cygwin 32bit,

Could anyone help me, Thank you.
