Hello all!
We have working Buildbots for Windows again!
The 414 branch is building and installing fine. I added French as a
language.
Note: Because of Java 8 the SDK is not available at the moment.
Trunk (420) still has some errors in the build process. These must be
investigated further.

I think it is not our job to do download.
The way would be to get Openoffice into the MS shops.
For other ways I opt for Chocolatey, which does exactly what people request.
The classic way would be manual download. With self control.
Signing our Software is more important.

Hi -
I think that there is a wishlist item for our various installers. Self checking
that the package is fully downloaded. As others have pointed out checking an
MD5 or other hash is beyond most people’s skills while a simple script could
more easily accomplish the task.

I had that often - it was (and is) a problem of my firewall.
Just download it a couple od times - I presonally used a tool to check
the MD5, SHxx or whatever (I can't remember) Checksums to be shure ...

Maybe we could start with getting the BuildBots running on Windows 10 -
64bit with the new SDKs...

I ran the install of the 2016-09-29 AOO4.1.3-dev r1761381 (still) to see how
the VC++ redistributables worked.
I saw the redistributables install again, apparently being newer as expected.
The main AOO install did not run because the same version was detected as
already installed.

In fact I encountere the same problem following the Step by Step guide. I
found the Open Office Extras sourceforge mirror which solved that, and I
changed the url in the Step by Step guide so that nobody else would have
this problem.

Hello Jane,
I've been using OpenOffice on Win 10 since July 29 (which is when Win 10
first was available) and I have no problems whatsoever. It works
perfectly well on Win 10.

there is nothing special that has to be done. OpenOffice should run on
Windows 10 as on other Windows versions, too.
