Hi,
I would like to use Open Office in my application. Is it possible to use it
in an commercial application? Let me explain my problem in more details.
The application is to be used for generating documents. In order to do that,
together with the application I will need to install Open Office.
Since most of people on this list are techies, not lawyers, you would
better talk to your legal adviser, so that s/he can interpret LGPL
(which governs use of OpenOffice) in your jurisdiction.
(IMHO, you can use OpenOffice in any way you like because of LGPL (and
not GPL)).

I am not a lawyer and I am not officially related to OOo.
But... Let me point out that people are able to sell OOo, which might
imply that you can include it with your product.
