The problem is acutally that it will complain if you try to delete, but

Hi,
It seems to be that editing data outside of a bounding box generates a

At first, it seems to be obvious: delete a way with all its nodes,
where some nodes could be part of way thats not loaded into the
editor.

On Tue, Dec 9, 2008 at 11:06 AM, Dirk Stöcker - what about merge conflicts ?
Which merge conflicts?
In SVN? Here always the one having the conflicts has to solve them :-)
No, I talk about merging two nodes. What happens if two nodes carry
the same key but different values. I guess the
In osmosis 0.29.4 there is a PostgreSQL script for creating the tables for
version 0.6, but is there also one for MySQL?

For MySQL, you can setup rails api06 branch, and run rake db:migrate.

I don't need Rails and really have no inclination whatsover to install it just
to make the database.

And to comment on rails_port_branches/api06/db/migrate/001_create_osm_db.rb in
svn: I thought the tags on nodes were put in a separate table? At least that's
what I I understand from the 0.6 wiki page.

The migrations are for one version to the next, so when setting up,
rails will start with the initial config then migrate all the data to
the next version as it goes.
I guess this is to maintain an easy way to upgrade older databases in
the future.

Hi, I'm trying to merge two osm files. One contains a 1.5 deg x 1.5 deg
tile of data from the planet file. The other contains a 1.5 deg x 1.5
deg tile of contours from Srtm2Osm.
I'm using the current Osmosis svn HEAD (r12273). Here is my command line:
java -Xmx1560m -jar

Fix done, it's calling the core merge function now.
The error about saving ignorederrors file was due to the missing
validator directory in /plugins/. It's now created if it's not
existing.
New revision is built and committed (rev.12280).

Since I did start digging in the Validator code last week for the

- what about merge conflicts ?
