[OSM-dev] nominatim development
Hi there, I see there are two versions of nominatim, what seems to be the newer version here http://trac.openstreetmap.org/browser/applications/utils/nominatim/nominatim?rev=23788 with some docs here http://developer.mapquest.com/web/products/open/forums/-/message_boards/view_message/217663#_19_message_217663 and the older version here http://svn.openstreetmap.org/applications/utils/export/osm2pgsql/gazetteer/ which is documented in the wiki here http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Nominatim and http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Nominatim/Installation So we have a mapquest version with some documentation that I cannot find that is hosted in the svn? Is there any summary for this? it is confusing. thanks, mike -- James Michael DuPont Member of Free Libre Open Source Software Kosova http://flossk.org ___ dev mailing list dev@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/dev

What about tile update? Can they handle a tile server or just caching? I guess they could prefer metatiles to tiles. John smith has also already done experiments with hosting on archive.org he has tools for splitting up the tiles etc. mike On Mon, Jan 2, 2012 at 11:35 PM, yvecai yve...@gmail.com wrote: What about tile update? Re: [OSM-dev] An update on github.com/openstreetmap
Not sure, if this is the right place... It seems someone's running a buggy cron job, that creates new branches on mapnik-stylesheets. In my github news feed I'm getting items like: openstreetmap-mirror created branch mirror/mirror/mirror/mirror/mirror/mirror/mirror/mirror/mirror/mirror/mirror/mirror/mirror/master at openstreetmap/mapnik-stylesheets Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason told me yesterday a bug fix is on the way.
