[OSM-dev] xapi site?

Not sure if the wiki is dynamically updated, but according to the XAPI page: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/XAPI The first server listed is Running Normally (green). But clicking on it, or the status page, brings a 503 error. Service Temporarily Unavailable The server is temporarily

[OSM-dev] map parameter

2013-05-23 Thread Tac Tacelosky
Is the map parameter (for the iD editor) a bounding box? I'm thinking not, but can't find documentation describing how it's called. Any suggestions? Thanks, Tac ___ dev mailing list dev@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/dev

[OSM-dev] Open iD editor at a specific zoom level?

2013-05-22 Thread Tac Tacelosky
I'm linking the elements from our Street View system to OSM's iD editor, since our editing environment will only provide for one tag + a name tag. We link to http://www.openstreetmap.org/edit?editor=idnode=2270864880 but the zoom level is so close in it's hard to use. Is there a way to set the

[OSM-dev] Using Google Street View Player with my own panoramic images

2013-05-17 Thread Tac Tacelosky
Can any legal experts help me out? I'm using Google's Street View player to look at panoramic images that I've taken, and would now like to update the OSM database to reflect what I see (stores, fire hydrants, etc.) The Street View Player is not explicitly spelled out in the terms of service:

There must be some situations where the streetview player comes up in Flash, but the tool that Google provides is javascript. An older version of our product supported a Flash-based view that had a different tiling system, which required us to render all the tiles twice. Except for the OSM

[OSM-dev] Overpass DEV url?

2013-05-17 Thread Tac Tacelosky
I'm getting a bunch of data from the Overpass API, and about to test updating it. I don't want to test on the live server, so I'm using http://api06.dev.openstreetmap.org/. But the id's don't seem to work -- that is, the ID's that come back from overpass aren't in (or are the same) as on the

Thanks, I've updated the wiki page at http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OAuth#Usage_for_developers accordingly, before it said that only 1.0 was supported, not 1.0a. Tac On Thu, May 16, 2013 at 12:56 PM, Tom Hughes t...@compton.nu wrote: We support 1.0 and 1.0a but 1.0a is what you should
