[OSM-dev] Element IDs in API

Hi, are the IDs in ways, nodes and relations globally unique? Or otherwise: Are there two identical IDs, one as way-id the other as node-id? If it's like this, the type attribute in member element is not really needed, or? Greetings Matthias ___
