It seems that everything renders as it should now - so thanks to everyone
involved! :-)

Re: [OSM-dev] New transport render (and bugs on ÁÉÍÓÚÑ)

2011-12-05 Thread Andre Joost

Hi,

Jet another problem: we have some trolley-busses in Germany, which won't
get rendered, for example this relation:

http://www.openstreetmap.org/api/0.6/relation/1731914

I wouldn't mind if you render it as a normal bus.

Greetings,
andré Joost

[OSM-dev] New transport render (and bugs on ÁÉÍÓÚÑ)

2011-11-25 Thread Iván Sánchez Ortega
New renders on www.osm.org!! Woooho!!!

But.

Unfortunately, the typography used doesn't properly render uppercase
accentuated characters. See:

http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=40.39548lon=-3.67809zoom=17layers=T

¿See the subway station Méndez 2lvaro? It should read Méndez Álvaro. Note
how the é (eacute if you prefer) renders OK, but the Á (or Aacute) fails
to render properly.

Similar problems with ñ - Opael over here should read Opañel:

http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=40.38696lon=-3.72251zoom=16layers=T

So, question: What typography is the Transport map using?

Yeah, yeah, I know I'm raining in Andy's parade. Don't make me feel bad about
that :-(

(Wish I could be at the hack-a-thon and have a first-hand look at this by
myself)

Cheers,

No worries at all - great to get feedback. There's clearly an issue
with the font file that I'm using for the stations, but I'll need to
investigate exactly what's going on - I'm not an expert on this. I
guess the font is claiming to have glyphs that it doesn't really,
which is preventing it from falling back to unifont. I might try and
roll my sleeves up and add some more characters!

I'll try and get it fixed ASAP.

Cheers,
Andy

I'll check out the font if you like. (Day job bread and butter.)
