Hi Stefanie, I also puzzled about osmosis setup, on Ubuntu and it did turn out to be easier than I had expected. I admire you for asking for help. On the Ubuntu setup my problem was reading several different help web pages and following a bit from each, thus my install was not consistent. I

Hi, Where do you get stuck? There's not too much 'installing' to osmosis, it's pretty much self-contained. Unzip the downloaded file to a folder, open a command prompt and type \path\to\osmosis\bin\osmosis.bat What does that do for you? Do you have a JRE installed? To test, open a command prompt
