I cloned the September report, updated the basic statistics, and did a very
fast first path. It needs more work.

Michele some of your work on this was prescient - the just announced new
features of aws lambda show it’s in this direction as well (polling a socket,
suspending and resuming on new messages). Need to dig deeper but this is great

That report does not necessarily mean we need to add a new broker for every
30 topics.
It depends on many factors such as the number of partitions and the number
of messages per topic, etc.
I just refered that to let you give a hint about how big Kafka cluster
could be.
