client
library) and didn't find govendor.
This probably means that the documented dependencies for the Go client
library are inaccurate.
Can anyone please suggest how to install the Go client library?

Hi Rodric,
The term "transaction id" is ambiguous. It can be interpreted, for
example, as a grouping label for a distributed transaction, not
necessarily one that befits a sequential flow.
"Flow id" seems to be a clearer definition, and more generic, in the sense
that a transaction can "ride"
Here are a few more examples of "meta" information, other than transaction
id.
- QoS (e.g., to affect scheduling)
- URL of specific log channel (e.g., to consolidate logs across a chain of
invocations)
- Flow ID (e.g., for tracing)
- Debug flag (e.g., to enable step-into interactive debugging)
Per my earlier suggestion, if we make the transaction id part of the
activation id, and store the set of key/values associated with the
transaction id in an external service (redis or couchdb) to be accessed
(r/w) on-demand, then I believe the implementation can become completely
transparent
Hi folks,
My two cents: recall my "shared context" presentation about using a
semi-transparent execution context that is shared across multiple
consequent invocations. Similar to the transaction id being discussed.
Hear, hear!
Cheers to all!

Hi guys,
Sorry for crashing the party, but I just hit an issue with the wsk CLI and
opened a ticket:
https://github.com/apache/incubator-openwhisk/issues/4354
In short: wsk cli does not pass annotations for rules, even though support
for rule annotations is documented.

Hi Rodric,
Yes. I became aware of this issue when I read through OW code to map the
activation timestamps to actual code stages. It's good to know that it's
also documented.

however, implicitly managed and propagated, we loose some of that
flexibility. So we need to make sure that we identify and support all the
important patterns beforehand (including obviously conductor action
contexts).

My apologies for the missing presentation.
It was attached when I sent it (as shown in the sent message).
Maybe the attachment got bounced because of type or name.
Trying again with the PDF version with shorter name without spaces.

Hi Priti,
I would like to get a slot to pitch implementing a shared context across

Hi folks,
I've found several indications in the OpenWhisk code, showing that it uses
Kamon (kamon.io) for reporting internal metrics and profiling.
Can someone please explain (or direct to an explanation) how to set up
OpenWhisk profiling with Kamon and Prometheus?

My second question - does anyone have a different experience with this
that they can share? (maybe this problem is not related to OW?)
