Within PHOENIX-1472, I've come up with a need for somewhere to list a release note (or a known issue) with that ticket. There are probably some other tickets from time to time with this kind of a requirement.
I know that Jira tickets in HBase have a "Release Note" field, and that seems like an ideal way of tracking something like this. We don't have a "Release Note" field in Phoenix Jira tickets, so the questions are: * Does anyone know if this is the question of an INFRA ticket? Or can someone (James?) add that field? * Any idea what HBase does (if anything) with the Release Note fields? It seems like we could include them in the release report from Jira, although I didn't spot if/how that's done in HBase releases. Lars or Andrew or Jesse, do you guys know anything about this? * Does anyone have any other ideas or preferences on how they'd like to track and publish release notes? - Gabriel
