From the release guide:
Log into https://repository.apache.org/ and go to the "Staging Repositories"
area.
Find the "orgapachepoi" entry, check it has the right content, then Close the
repository.
When that completes, Release it.
I still need to figure out how to deploy to dist/release and maven central.
I will update that section of the release guide when I figure out what I
need to do.

"ant clean assemble" works for me on a full svn checkout. Are you
referring to assemble failing when
