Import Export generalization to support a larger set of compilers and run time environments -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: QPID-3186 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-3186 Project: Qpid Issue Type: Improvement Components: C++ Broker, C++ Client, Qpid Managment Framework Affects Versions: 0.10 Reporter: Ted Ross Assignee: Ted Ross Fix For: 0.11 The C++ macros for module export (<NAME>_EXTERN) are not sufficiently general or granular to support the gcc, Microsoft, and mingw32 compilers. This update creates three distinct macros for each module: 1) A Class macro (<MODULE>_CLASS_EXTERN) for annotating class declarations. 2) The usual method macro (<MODULE>_EXTERN) for annotating public class methods. 3) An inline-method macro (<MODULE>_INLINE_EXTERN) for annotating public inline methods. The compiler-specific conditions are isolated in qpid/cpp/include/{qpid,qmf}/ImportExport.h. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
