I really like the changes you have made. JCL bashing is or was, as you correctly
point out, mostly unhelpful. I am currently going through the manual making

With impetus given by Ralph Goers, the SLF4J documentation has been simplified
and improved. The updated documentation should be especially helpful for new
SLF4J users. If you find any part of the documentation unclear, please let us know.
