Hello All, Not much new discussion to report. Those that I have spoken with are working on buttoning things up for the next release.
Everyone can help by: A) documenting parts of the platform that are lacking (e.g. installation, how to use, etc) B) reporting broken pieces of the platform. C) Fixing broken pieces or adding code to make installation easier. All bugs and docs should be for the Master branch *not *the *ODM *branch. we will go back to the ODM branch after this next release. Thanks everyone, ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Highlights - Everyone is working on getting the platform ready for Release v1.1 New Jiras - N/A Pull Requests - PR #141: still in backlog for testing. If anyone wants to take the initiative on testing please feel free. - PR #95: Being updated to make Kafka jar file configurable. Still needs Jira Ticket. Release V1.1 - Mark is still working on rebuilding the API with graphene. Currently pointing the old react UI to point at the new API. Open Forum - Put in request to general for new Mentor, still waiting on responses. Will put out another request soon. - As part of recreating the installation docs, Mark will try installing Spot on one of the Cloudera Quickstart VMs and provide a guide. Hopefully instructions on how to setup on a VM makes things easier for developers to contribute.
