I want to get 2.0.8 out in the next few days, as I have an application that
should deploy this week, and I'd prefer to use a "real" Struts release.
I've already cleaned up most of the tickets, but may have to push out the
release with a few things left undone like the xwork 2.0.3 dep.

Yeah... one book at the publisher (out in a couple of weeks), and the
time I estimated for the second one was ridiculously low :) So now I am
spending every free minute and reducing my consulting workload to meet
deadlines.

I'm here, I've just been insanely busy with other things for the last 2
months. Can you believe they actually want me to write non-open-source
business code at work? Absolutely ridiculous. :)
I'm hoping things will slow down a bit now, but I can't make any promises.

The key tip is to submit patches, and to nudge the committers to apply
them. Of course, we're in something of a standoff now, since we're
short on people to apply the patches that would i
Hi!
I started the process of extracting the portlet code to a plugin, but
the URL building abstraction has caused me a bit of a headache.
There's a lot of logic spread around within the url and form
components which I'm having a hard time figuring out. I'm wondering if
it's easier just to create
Hmm, same here. Too busy with the new job. I'm still working on
various S2 plugins at nighttime.
As for the rest of the old WW team I know about:
- Rainer: too much work for clients atm
- Rene: on vacation
- Ian: writing book(s)
- Toby: focused on bugfixes for WW atm (has some legacy apps to take

I'll be very heads-down for the next six weeks, and after that, I'll
be working on something else entirely over the summer.
Will anyone else be available this summer to help apply patches and
march us toward releases of Struts 2.0.8 and Struts 2.1.0?

This week I've been updating materials for a Migrating to Struts
course that I'm presenting next week. (The course was orginally
written for WebWork.) The materials are all open source, and I hope to
use some of them to finish up the tutorials in the Struts 2
documentation. As mentioned elsewhere,
I'll be away until August 8, and probably without an Internet
connection (but with a fully loaded laptop).

OK, I've wrapped up my other project for now.
It's a long weekend in the States, and I'll be on vaction until July 5.
But, I have the rest of July blocked out to work on nothing but Struts. :)
I'll roll 1.3.5 first, and then move onto 2.0.0.
