Chain of Responsibility

So. when I left the whole Struts 1.3.x stuff, I thought Chains were coming in vogue. I still like them a lot. The current Action Chaining Interceptor doesn't cut it. What is the current thought on Chaining Commands (Actions)? My newer developers have already fallen into the trap of making
