Some comments:
The existing git repo is incorrectly named (IMHO), because it doesn't follow the
conventions for all the others.
So, I think we can go ahead with creating a new git
The README has a section on "Modules".
It might be missing the entry for uimafit-benchmarks?

I see that uimafit-spring in the README is described as
experimental, and intentionally excluded from the binary.
