Next release?
Hi I was wondering whether there are any plans for another release? There are multiple fixes in the source (mainly in the 'store' package) that I need access to, but I'd rather not have to build the code myself - as we would need to have this library approved for use etc. Thanks Ben Visit our website at http://www.ubs.com This message contains confidential information and is intended only for the individual named. RE: Next release?
Indeed Ben, you are not the only one asking for a release. I think it's a good time to start working on a new release. I'll send a list of things to be done for the release. XMLBeans Release 2.4
There have been quite a few changes lately and there are already requests for a release. It's time to start the ball rolling for a new release. To do before release: 1. Commit work in progress by end of the week 2. Update ChangeLog 3. Update version numbers 4. Make RCx distribution files 5. Publish them 6. Test RCx distribution files 7. If there are problems needed to be fixed, fix them and spawn a new RC. 8. Else if no stopping problems are found start vote 9. Wait at least 48 hours for the votes 10. If negative vote, address issues and make a new RC. 11. If positive vote, RCx files become release files. After the release: 1. Publish release, digest and signature files in distribution dir 2. Update POM files 2. Update site to reflect the new release 3. Update documentation Please update, in case I missed something on the lists. Help is welcomed especially for testing the RC files.
