[oxid-dev-general] admin links changes in 4.3.0
Hi everybody,
in the new eShop version 4.3.0, the internal links in admin tool are changed
from [{$shop-selflink}]?[{ $editurl }] to [{$shop-selflink}][{ $editurl }].
This allows to add parameters to the selflink not only in templates, but also in
the admin php classes.
Also, this may affect some modules, which uses admin interface templates with
custom
[{$shop-selflink}]?[{ $editurl }] urls for e.g. frameset definitions. The '?'
character
in these urls should be replaced by the ''.

Hi,
this thing made me crazy yesterday evening ...
Therefore some wishes for future versions:
- OXID Developers should on all changes keep in mind if third party modules may
be affected. If so, please annouce such changes as early as possible here in
the list. This would probably avoid a lot of pain for third party developers.
;-)
- Perhaps it would be a good idea to publish a detailed change history for
partners one or two weeks BEFORE the release, so we could check our modules
already.
- On each - at least major - update there should be a clear hint that if third
party modules are used one should check compatibility BEFORE updating the shop.
For us as developers this is self-evident, but for many shop owners it is
obviously not. This morning we did already get some complains about not working
modules after updating to 4.3.
