Hi,
We solved 18 issues in this release:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?projectId=12310100version=12316680
There are still some outstanding issues:
FWIW the latest framework bundle didn't have a src jar with it. It would be
nice if that src.jar could be available again. Previous versions did have
this. Usually the IDE is capable of attaching this to the binary. For
example the me plugin for eclipse.

I'd go with a 2.5.0 since it's been a canceled vote and the stage has been
dumped.
Less confusing then to skip a 2.5.0 version, which might confuse others
even more :)

SVN isn't that bad after all, so why fix something that isn't really broken?

Hi,
I wouldn't do it, in the end you'll endup re-inventing the wheel a 50th
time.
If you think the minimum parser isn't sufficient, it's time to think of
using another one.
As I already pointed out previously we do have an apache project for JSON
stuff.
At this point if it is really needed and
Hi,
this is another reason to start thinking about using a "real" JSON parser
instead of using a simple string parser.
As in the other thread about comments, I think if a simple string parser
isn't enough, use an existing one,
for example Apache Johnzon[1].
In that case you don't have to worry
Hi,
just trying to be the devil's advocate :)
Even if it's a small piece of code just for writing JSON, do we really
re-invent the wheel again?
Don't know if you where aware of, but there is an Apache JSON lib
available, and it does have the proper imports/exports ;)

Hi,
TBH, Java 7 is EOL since about a year. Is it really necessary to block
improvements on the gogo shell because of old Java versions for ever?
just my 2 cents.

AFAIK there is even an Apache JSon lib available.
