Looks fine. Simplicity wins. :-) -Donald Jarek Gawor wrote: I'm not sure I fully understand what you are suggesting. Can you explain a bit more? For now I committed what I had in mind. Re: parent and child components in the admin console
I'd prefer the checkbox both for my own use (I use the parent/child listing moderately often) and because I think it involves less code. thanks david jencks On Jun 23, 2008, at 11:12 AM, Jarek Gawor wrote: I'm not sure I fully understand what you are suggesting. How about a link, which would display the info in a portlet view, instead of a checkbox which seems like more of a user preference that should be saved between sessions? -Donald Jarek Gawor wrote: Hi, Currently, the admin console when you click to see all installed web applications or system modules, etc. shows parent and child components for each listed module. parent and child components in the admin console
Hi, Currently, the admin console when you click to see all installed web applications or system modules, etc. shows parent and child components for each listed module. I think the average user does not care about the parent and child components information but yet that takes the most area on the screen. I would like change that so that parent and child components are displayed only when the user selects some checkbox. That is, the parent and child components would not be shown by default unless the user selects a checkbox. What do you think? Jarek
