Re: Why is the HBase site build pipeline disabled?

2025-01-07 Thread Duo Zhang
I guess the problem why the INFRA team disabled it is because it
failed several times in the past, when checking out the site repo...

IIRC I've sent an email to this mailing list to see if we should
squash some old commits for our site build to reduce the repo size...

Many thanks for looking into this and fixing it.
Indeed the doc changes are now live. :)

Build went fine. I believe that means that your changes are being
published or are published. I'm not sure why it was disabled. Logs
from the failed build don't tell me anything.

My understanding was that the website job is run automatically on
commit to the main repo. Jenkins says that it's been disabled by Infra
with the message, "DISABLED BY INFRA,PLEASE FIX THIS BUILD".

Let me see...

Actually this makes perfect sense. Sorry for my lack of knowledge about
this.

Re: Why is the HBase site build pipeline disabled?

2025-01-06 Thread Andrew Purtell
It's my understanding that hbase_generate_website is meant to be triggered
by committers when releasing. If HBASE-28525 has not reached release state
yet it's appropriate that it's not in the documentation yet. I think that
will change as soon as 2.5.11 or 2.6.2 is released.

Why is the HBase site build pipeline disabled?

2025-01-06 Thread Dávid Paksy
Hi,

I noticed that the reference guide updates I made under HBASE-28525 are not
on the HBase site - even though the PR was merged to master quite some time
ago.

Just saw that the HBase website Jenkins pipeline (hbase_generate_website)
is disabled.
Is this intentional?

Thanks,
Dávid
