Another way to solve the dependencies problem could also be to forbid
any snapshot dependencies.
That would allow us to do releases much more easily at the cost of
delaying bug fixes into trunk until the dependencies are actually
released.

It's only based on the fact that assemblies/apache-karaf doesn't build
for me, but i haven't investigated the issue yet.
