Re: [EXTERNAL] Re: [ANNOUNCE] New committer and PMC member: Kevin Risden
Thanks everyone. I've been working in and around Apache Hadoop clusters for ~6 years now starting in late 2012. In that time I've worked with a lot of companies consulting on installation and securing their clusters. This includes SSL/TLS and Kerberos. Apache Knox has been an important part of securing many of these clusters. I am looking forward to continuing to contribute and provide help where I can. [ANNOUNCE] New committer and PMC member: Kevin Risden
The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache Knox has invited Kevin Risden to become a committer and PMC member and we are pleased to announce that he has accepted. Kevin has been a contributor to Apache Knox with LDAP and Solr related contributions for a number of years. He has also provided tremendous assistance to others within the community on the dev@ and user@ lists. I am excited to have him on board as a committer and PMC member and look forward to his continued contributions to the project and its direction. Being a committer enables easier contribution to the project since there is no need to go via the patch submission process. This should enable better productivity. Being a PMC member enables assistance with the management and to guide the direction of the project.
