Re: [VOTE] Break up lens code into two sub projects

2019-08-30 Thread amareshwarisr .
Hi Raghavendra,

We should try and check if single repo, multi module project can work with
dependencies being released version between subprojects, very similar to
Hadoop builds (https://github.com/apache/hadoop).

Even otherwise, having multiple git repositories for one apache project
should allowed. Though there are multiple apache projects with sub
projects, not finding documentation for number of repositories allowed for
an apache project. Jean, can you help confirm this?

Thanks

Re: [VOTE] Break up lens code into two sub projects

2019-08-28 Thread Raghavendra Singh
Hi,

Want to understand if this will be a multi repo project? or are these
multiple modules within the same repo?

If it is multi modules in 1 repo, how will the releases be managed here? as
it would essentially release both modules in the repo at the same time.

on the other hand, having multiple repos for 1 project is something
accepted in apache?

Thanks,
Raghavendra Singh
