I should say, we developed the MPacks and are looking to enable other
deployment approaches (e.g, Cloudera Manager extensions) alongside Ambari.
As we've done with most things in the platform, it makes sense to be
agnostic (e.g. Solr vs ES). As always, anyone in the community is free to
continue
The long and the short of it is that I don't think there is likely
to be much more time invested in enhancing, upgrading, or expanding the
Ambari MPack features for Metron from this point on. We have many users
