Ted Ross resolved DISPATCH-505. ------------------------------- Resolution: Fixed The underlying problem was that credit was not replenished for unroutable deliveries arriving on anonymous links. The HELLO messages were not the problem, but control messages sent to a specific router were occasionally unroutable due to in-process topology changes. > Eventual loss of credit on inter-router control links when the topology > changes > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: DISPATCH-505 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DISPATCH-505 > Project: Qpid Dispatch > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Router Node > Affects Versions: 0.6.1 > Reporter: Ted Ross > Assignee: Ted Ross > Priority: Critical > Fix For: 0.7.0 > > > It was observed that in a network of routers, connectivity would be lost on > some of the inter-router links after a number of days of operation. When > this occurred, the control links displayed a large (and growing) number of > undelivered messages outbound as though credit were exhausted on the link. > Other links remain open and the AMQP heartbeats flow such that the connection > is never closed due to inactivity. This suggests that the problem is > isolated to the control links only. > It is also observed that this problem only occurs when there is expiration of > HELLOs causing topology changes. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@qpid.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@qpid.apache.org
