Sorry.. I seem to not have permission to make public Jira filters.

Still, we are pretty much top of the list on the official:
https://s.apache.org/gsoc2018ideas

(Who would have thought "T" was a good letter to be sorted under!)

Thanks Sagar, for keeping the (already several!) interested students engaged!

Given the keen interest I have - hopefully - recycled a few Jira
issues by adding the gsoc2018 tag -- however they all list me as
mentor and you can only be mentor for one student.

see https://issues.apache.org/jira/issues/?filter=12343188

Anyone else interested to be mentor? Any of the current committers and
PMC members are eligible.

Great, Sagar, much appreciated!

Shall we make a Jira issue for each? Students have different
interests..

Also use the "gsoc2018" "android" "rest" "junit" and "java" labels.

I've started on a few:

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAVERNA-1033
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAVERNA-1034

I think a good trick is to include a bit of links and GSOC intro
so the students will be able to dive in.

Re: Google Summer of Code 2018 is coming

2018-01-22 Thread Sagar
Hi All,

I think we should apply for GSoC 2018. And I am willing to be a volunteer
for the mentorship.

There is some improvement in the Apache Taverna Mobile which we can do in
GSoC 2018 like offline support, Taverna 2 workflow's run using taverna
server instead of taverna player, UI tests, JUnit test etc.
