If you want to use the saxon XPath engine (to use xpath2 for example) you should explicitly set the system parameter, not rely on the classpath. Use: System.setProperty("javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory", "net.sf.saxon.TransformerFactoryImpl"); before initialising a singleton factory.
