Re: EPEL [Package Request] Thunar rpm for EL7 not ready.
Thanks, currently I just install the -basic one, just for dependency solving. I agree with nonamedotc that we can change the dependency here, onto existing pkg gnome-backgrounds, which doesn't require other sources. maybe we can then add pkg gnome-backgrounds onto dependency @xfce. -- Regards, -suse ___ epel-devel mailing list epel-devel@lists.fedoraproject.org https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/epel-devel

If I've made a temporary change to my firewall settings, I might be a bit annoyed if an (apparently unrelated) package installation caused the configuration to revert to the permanent configuration. Is there not a more specific command that adds the service definition to the current environment without a full reload? No, there is no command for this. Changes to (also addition and removal of) services are done in the permanent environment only to have a consistent state in the runtime environment. I have done this because the adoption of changes to zone, services etc. might lead into problems. Please think of these examples: - A service definition has been removed. - A service definition has been changed in an incompatible way: Different port number or range. The adoption of a changed port number for a service should be done in the service and in firewalld at the same time. .treeinfo missing in mirrors
Hi all, My coworker was trying to fedup 19 - 20 and it was failing because .treeinfo wasn't in our local mirror. I thought that odd since I had just corrected our mirroring setup a few weeks back for another coworker for the same reason. (It's very unfortunate that this file was hidden because I suspect many a mirror exclude all hidden files for the reason I had done so, namely to avoid pulling an upstream mirror's temporary files.) Applications not visible in the software center
I've been asked by a few people if I could write a list of all the applications that are not being included in the AppStream metadata for one reason or another. The list of rules we're aiming to share between Suse, Fedora and Debian (which itself is work in progress, so don't loose a kidney just yet) is here: https://github.com/hughsie/appstream-glib#what-is-an-application I've uploaded an interactive page at http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/screenshots/f21/failed.html which explains why applications are being left out. The usual reasons are crazy small icons, or no short description, but there are other reasons too. I've personally emailed all (!) the upstream maintainers who ship a very small icon, or one with XPM or ICO file format, so hopefully some of these will magically be fixed in the future. If you've got any concerns please grab me, but otherwise just fixing up your spec file and doing a build for *f21* and waiting a day will make things magically work and your application appear. Anyway, we checked a few upstream mirrors (e.g., kernel.org) and the file isn’t there. Did something happen at the top? It's still there as far as I can see. http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/releases/20/Fedora/x86_64/os/.treeinfo Sorry folks, there was a miscomm on our end. Is fedpkg designed to be usable for online only?
Hi, After using the new pkgdb2 API based fedpkg, I'd like to ask a question here: Is fedpkg designed to be usable when online only? Well.. If I cut disable my connection, fedpkg switch-branch doesn't work: Could not execute switch_branch: len([]) != len(['ssh: Could not resolve hostname pkgs.fedoraproject.org: Name or service not known', '', '', 'and the repository exists.']) ERROR:rpkg:Could not execute switch_branch: len([]) != len(['ssh: Could not resolve hostname pkgs.fedoraproject.org: Name or service not known', '', '', 'and the repository exists.']) I really don't think it's a good idea if I can't work offline. And rpkg throws 2 same info here is also a bug, but it's not so annoying. Again on the switch-branch, it's pretty slow now somewhere because it depends on the ssh authentication which requires the active internet connection. Unfortunately in some cases connecting to the fedoraproject.org is not fast as imagined, accordingly it even took me 1.5 min to switch the branch just now. But in the past I don't have any problem here. So is it the philosophy of new fedpkg? Thanks.
