There's 8 items in

right now. I expect that they will get processed after New Year.

Hi Jacek,

welcome to Fedora. Sounds like you have quite a TODO list already,
good luck!

Some random notes to get you started ;)

cd build
%make_install
→ %make_install -C build

$RPM_BUILD_ROOT → %buildroot
(not mandatory, but it makes the package seem more modern ;). Mageia
outright disallows $RPM_BUILD_ROOT...)

%defattr(-,root,root)
Group: System Environment/Libraries
→ not needed, should be removed.

/usr/lib64/libigdfcl.so.*
→ please use something like
%{_libdir}/libigdfcl.so.NN
%{_libdir}/libigdfcl.so.NN.*
(macro not dir, and the so-version cannot change without you noticing.)

Looks quite OK otherwise.

Sure. But you can learn basic tasks as build using "Mock", minors changes in
the macros python; or you want wait an eternity to the developer migrate to
python3? Maybe when it will ready for python3, You are no longer interested in
maintaining it. Good luck ;)

Thank you very much! I also recommend checking out cgit (which I also
wrote about) if you haven't already, since it is a little more feature-
rich than gitweb but still quite lightweight.

Being a dev, I hadn't even considered writing for Fedora Magazine,
though now that you mention it, I do write a bit in my spare time to
kind of decompress from writing code. I'll have to look into it. I also
tinker a bit with my raspberry pi, and recently purchased a PinePhone
and PineTime devkit, so Fedora ARM is also quite interesting to me.
Thank you for the suggestions!

Self Introduction: Michael Hrechyn

2019-12-31 Thread Michael Hrechyn
Hi! I'm Michael Hrechyn, 17 years old school boy, who lives in Belarus.
In addition to studying at school, I study programming in Rust and
administration of Linux systems because I like it.
I have few simple open-source projects writen in Rust and they are also
available in Copr.
Also I maintain few other packages, which also available in Copr. For instance,
it's a libinput-gestures and MultiMC.

Currently I want to maintain a ddnet package in Fedora repos.
I already send a review request
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1787069) and now I'm searching for
a sponsor.

if you want to know more about me, please just ask.

Self-introduction

2019-12-31 Thread Fabian Affolter
Hi all,

I don't want to repeat myself, please take a look at my wiki page [1].

Why I want to join? I have one too many Python package and I started to
add the python-sig as admin. But it goes both ways, if the SIG has
access to my packages I want to be part of the SIG. My name is in the
member list [2] for quite a while but I guess that doesn't come with the
right permissions.

Thanks for adding me to python-sig.

If you have any further questions please replay to this message or write
me in private. These days I'm no longer very active on IRC because of my
day job.

Kind regard,

Fabian

Yes, it is known. It's noted on https://status.fedoraproject.org/
and in previous messages to this list (Message-ID:

Self Introduction: Jacek Danecki

2019-12-31 Thread Jacek Danecki

Hi,

I've been using Linux for above 20 years. I've been involved in many Linux
projects
mainly closed sourced, but also open sourced:
[1] isci kernel driver
[2] dmraid
[3] mdadm
[4] KaNaPi
[5] Neo

I was working with some of you on adding mdadm support in Anaconda for Fedora
11.
I'm preparing weekly releases for Neo on github [6].
Since last year I've been preparing deb packages for Neo on launchpad [7], [8],
[9].
For about 5 months I've been maintaining rpm packages for Neo on copr [10].
Few weeks ago I've started with OBS [11].
I'm maintaining CI systems for Neo [12], [13], [14] and docker images with Neo
on docker hub [15].

As Benson mentioned [16] few months ago on this mailing list, I'd plan to add
Neo packages to Fedora.
Before I send review request I need to split opencl-clang spec [17], switch to
use gmmlib from Fedora,
and clean specs for IGC [18] and Neo [19].

updates not getting pushed for the last several days

2019-12-31 Thread Julian Sikorski
Hi list,

it appears that the updates have not been pushed for the last several days:
https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2019-986a024b8e
https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2019-e98d4e55e6
If I recall correctly, there have been changes made some time ago after
which the updates should automatically get pushed every midnight. Is the
lack of pushes a known problem?

Best regards,
Julian
