Re: Updates to nextcloud

2022-09-24 Thread Otto Liljalaakso

Avi Alkalay kirjoitti 24.9.2022 klo 14.31:

NextCloud is an amazing project that lets you run your own DropBox with
steroids.

Current F36 package is not performing well because it was not well
integrated with PHP-FPM.

I fixed it in my branch (
https://src.fedoraproject.org/fork/aviram/rpms/nextcloud/commits/rawhide)
along with upstream update to 24.0.5 and other required fixes. PR is here:
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/nextcloud/pull-request/7

I'm looking for someone to approve it and make it into official Fedora.

The correct way to do this is by filing issues in Bugzilla and creating
PRs (which you have already done). In case they are ignored, you should
invoke the Non-responsive maintainer policy [1].

Note that the Non-responsive maintainer process was recently started for
NextCloud [2]. In that case, the current maintainer eventually responded
and thus is still the main admin. A new co-maintainer was also added. It
seems that there are multiple people interested in this package and
ready to contribute, I hope that an arrangement can be found so that
updates and other fixes can be handled efficiently.

As an aside, if the intent is to only package NextCloud official
releases, and not betas and release candidates, it would make sense to
configure release-monitoring.org so that it would stop suggesting those [3].

Unretire rubygem-logging

Hello,

I would like to unretire rubygem-logging[1]. It is a dependency of the yet to
be built kitchen-salt provisioner for test-kitchen. I have opened a bz[2] and
a releng ticket[3] for review.

Updates to nextcloud

2022-09-24 Thread Avi Alkalay
NextCloud is an amazing project that lets you run your own DropBox with
steroids.

Current F36 package is not performing well because it was not well
integrated with PHP-FPM.

I fixed it in my branch (
https://src.fedoraproject.org/fork/aviram/rpms/nextcloud/commits/rawhide)
along with upstream update to 24.0.5 and other required fixes. PR is here:
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/nextcloud/pull-request/7

I'm looking for someone to approve it and make it into official Fedora.

Meanwhile I set up a Copr with updated packages:
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/aviram/nextcloud/

This is what I'm running in my production server.

Thank you in advance

Re: Confused by packager dashboard: FTBFS (source)

Yup :( This is due to the fact that architecture-specific
BuildRequires are not accurately represented in package repository
data.

TL;DR: koji builds the .src.rpm file for all architectures, but only
keeps a random one, which then ends up in the "-source" repositories
that is shared by all architectures.
If it happens to be from an architecture that *has* these
BuildRequires, then the package will have BuildRequires in its
metadata that are unresolvable on some architectures.

I can add python-pyside2 to the list, if you give me the exact error you see.
There are already a few packages that are filtered out because of
qt5-qtwebengine, so you're in good company:

I opened an issue in the dashboard repo for the same reason some weeks ago.
It turns out there's a limitation on detecting these cases, so Fabio
maintains a whitelist.

Unretire rubygem-net-ssh-gateway

2022-09-24 Thread Robby Callicotte via devel
Hello,

I would like to unretire rubygem-net-ssh-gateway[1]. It is a dependency of
the yet to
be built kitchen-salt provisioner for test-kitchen. I have opened a bz[2] and
a releng ticket[3] for review.
