Need help with side-tag

2020-05-20 Thread Christine Caulfield
Hi,

I thought I was doing the right thing - because of the libqb soname bump
I built it on a side-tag and got the maintainers of dependent packages
to rebuild their packages on that side-tag.

Now all the builds are in I go to Bodhi to make the update - but it
tells me I can't do it because I don't have commit access to the other
projects.

errr, what do I do now please?

The tag is f33-build-side-23348 if that helps.

Thanks,
Chrissie

libqb soname bump

2020-05-15 Thread Christine Caulfield
I've uploaded libqb 2.0.0 into rawhide which has a soname bump.

It's currently built on side-tag f33-build-side-23348 and I'll release
it when I think everything is built.

Most of the dependencies are in my (HA cluster) team so I can chat with
them and get things built, and I've emailed the maintainer of usbguard.

If anyone else thinks they might be dependent on libq then please build
on that side-tag and let me know. Hopefully it can all be sorted by next
week.

Self-introduction: chrissie

2020-03-25 Thread Christine Caulfield
Hi,

I'm Chrissie Caulfield, I've worked at Red Hat or over 15 years now,
pretty much always in clustering. Before that I worked on VAX/VMS
systems - more clustering, though I did have a spell in between when I
wrote software-for-industry and was porting-supremo for Tarantella
(back-end stuff only) for a while.

I've been writing C for 30 years or so, current upstream projects are
corosync, kronosnet and libqb. Currently learning Rust too - for home
project only at the moment.

I currently package libqb for RHEL and used to package cman for RHEL 5 &
6. I've been asked by my boss to look at taking over packaging of libqb
when the current maintainer leaves Red Hat at the end of April.
